Before you do anything rinse your mouth with warm water. Use dental floss to remove any food in the area. Never put aspirin or any other painkillers against your teeth or gum, since it will lead to burning your gum tissue and causing more damage. Call your dentist as soon as possible.
Floss and bush the area well. As a temporary solution place a small piece of sugarless gum in the cavity. Make an appointment with your dentist immediately.
If your crown falls off, save it and bring it with you to your dentist as soon as possible. In the mean time avoid eating or drinking on that side.
Save your broken piece! Rinse your mouth with clean warm water, If there is bleeding place a gauze in the area with a gentle pressure for 10 minutes. Apply cold compress to the outside of your mouth and see your dentist immediately.
Call your dentist right away. Until you reach your family dentist, to relieve possible pain apply cold compress to the outside of the mouth in the affected area.
